Welcome to my Public Facing blog. Early in 2020 I visited all the main museums and galleries in London that specialise in science and art science. Public Facing describes all the places I visited and tries to come to an understanding of how successful they are in reaching out to very varied audiences.
In Public Facing I explore how these different venues transfer knowledge about current or topical science research that impacts on society in many different ways. I’d be very interested to hear what you think. Please send me comments through my blog.
Public Facing is for anyone interested in art in science written by an Art in Science student at LJMU, Liverpool. I hope that you enjoy reading it and using it as a guide to these wonderful places.
Click on the links shown below to find out which museums I visited, what public engagement is and who does it best.
What is public engagement?
I used a set of identical assessment criteria to navigate my way around these different venues.
